'I started this project after returning from travels abroad in 2010 and as a result of the many stories I shared with people along the way about Australia, our vast landscapes and the very unique animals that inhabit this continent.

I started the project with a couple of songs which soon inspired ideas for more and before I knew it I had quite a collection of songs that began to find their way into the world at parties and local events. Next my thinking went toward documenting the songs in the form of a CD and this lead to the idea of creating an accompanying book, so, just for fun, I designed some mock up illustrations based on the characters in the songs and once the beautiful scrap booking paper found its way into my hands I couldn't stop and so I just kept going. The narrative came into being as the characters evolved through the collage illustrations and that's how an adventurous Kangaroo called Koo Wee began a journey across Australia and discovered a cast of interesting and quirky characters set against the colourful back drop of the Aussie landscape.

I hope that this book and CD will inspire children of all ages to explore new places with a sense of curiosity, care and respect for the natural environment that we share with all creatures whilst enjoying the Koo Wee Kapers adventure.'

Koo Wee Kapers is a lively and interactive family show based on the beautifully illustrated children’s book of the same name.

The spoken narrative brings to life the story of an adventurous kangaroo set amongst the back drop of a unique Aussie landscape and introduces a cast of delightful wildlife characters through live music, movement and puppetry.

Angie Macmillan aka. Kitty -Vocals, Ukulele, Puppeteer & Story Teller and Andy Scott aka Boomer - Double Base.

Through rhyme, song and movement Koo Wee Kapers is a fun way to learn a little more about some of our closest wild life neighbours and makes wonderful family entertainment for festivals, functions and special events.
